Happy New Year!

Well it has been a few day's since I posted anything so I thought I would post a few more pictures and tell you a little bit about what has been going on... Obviously the year has changed and we are now in 2009, and I can still hear Prince singing that God awful song "I'm going to party like it's 1999!", thinking the world was going to end... Well were all still here and another year has come and gone!

I hope that everyone had a great 2008 and that 2009 will be even better. 2008 ended on an extremely up note for me, as I had my physical on 12/31/08 and learned from my doctor that I had lost 46 pounds over the last year, and I am only six pounds from where he wants me, and eleven from where I want to be, so although I did not worked much in 2008, only part time for Costco in Glenview, IL., I was still able to get healthy!

Today's photograph's are going to be from New Year's Eve, and from this today. On New Years Eve, there was a very rare occasion, something that you may not get to see again for another 58 years, I believe! This morning we went up to Gurnee mills to meet with our good friends, the Miller's. As I told you previously I was in the Navy well, Jim and I served the reserves together when I first got off of active duty at Glenview Naval Air Station, which is no longer there... anyway these five sailors came walking up and I asked them if we could take their picture with our kids, the whole thing was kind of surreal, thinking back after the fact...but, I think they got a kick out of it because Jim and I both told them that we had been in many moons ago!

Thanks for checking back in, I hope you continue to do so and like my photo's, as always, any and all suggestions good or bad would be appreciated.
