The things I am thankful for; Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays...

The first thing I am thankful for this holiday season is my health, and my family.  Knock wood, I haven't had any major illnesses lately, random or related to my type 2 diabetes or ulcerative colitis.  Secondly, I am thankful for people who believe in me!  As you all know I am very passionate about my photography.  One of my roommates from college likes what he sees in me, and since he can afford it, he purchased my new Canon 6DMKii for me, with the intention that I pay him back, thank you Jeff Gilbert!  So, while I am still learning my way around my new full frame camera, here are a few photos from the last week or so...

Lake Arlington Pavilion...

Hello darkness my old friend, I've come to speak with you again...I will refer to this old truck as my truck from here on out.  I plan to photograph this truck in all seasons, and in all conditions.

As someone who grew up in the Kansas City area, I love Christmas lights and all the decorations that go with the season.  In KC, they have a great lighting ceremony on Thanksgiving night, with a play and then flipping the switch where all the lights come on the Plaza.  If you have not seen the Plaza in Kansas City, you need to check it out, especially between Thanksgiving and New Years...  That being said, my current home town of Arlington Heights has its own little Winter Wonderland at North Park School by the Arlington Height Park District Building.  Here are some photos from there...

As always, I thank you for viewing my photoblog, and I hope you enjoy my work.  Like most photographer, I can be hired.  To contact me, you can reach me at mwnphotography@gmail.com or at 847.636.9130.  Thank you again, and Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and may you have a blessed New Year!
