Hello...

Welcome to my blog. In the coming days, weeks, and months I will be adding more and more of my photo's and links the the my Facebook page and http://www.photographycorner.com/ so you can see more and more of my pictures in many different spots. Photography is my passion, and my life's ambition is to make other's happy through my photography. The process has started, and where it will go, God only knows! I have had no formal training, just the burning desire to succeed and keep taking photographs until I get it right!

In this first post I want to tell you a little bit about how I got here, and where here is, for those of you who don't know me. First and foremost, I want to thank the two most important people in my life, my wife Marilou, and of course the most precious of all children in the whole world my daughter Lily, without whom I do not know what I would do! Our paperwork to adopt Lily left the United States to go to China on 9/10/2001... and we all know what happened on 9/11/01. Marilou & I adopted Lily from China in January of 2003, and we were there in the heart of SARS although the Peoples Republic of China had yet to acknowledge that there was anything actually wrong until we were already there. I had always had a love of photography, but had never really taken any good photographs, and before we left for our trip, Marilou and I purchase our first digital camera. One of my favorite pictures of Lily was taken with that camera. It was taken the first night we got her, and we had just given her a bath and we sat Lily on the bed, well, you be the judge, the picture is in the upper left hand corner.

I spent 17 years in and out of the insurance industry. After this last go round when I lost my job after two and a half years working for my mentor in the insurance industry only to be let go yet again, I decided I had had enough, and that I was not going to go back into the industry no matter what happened, and I almost had too, and even interviewed with a couple of agencies, but, when people heard my stories maybe it scared them away from me as well as I was scared of coming to work for them!

Today I am happily working for Costco, albeit temporary/seasonal, although I hope that will change to at least part-time soon, and spending time with my daughter, taking photographs of anything and anyone I can!

I want to thank you for viewing my blog, and I hope you become a regular visitor, I can not guarantee that the pictures will always be new, but, I will try and update things on a fairly regular basis. Besides photography, and spending time with my wife and daughter, my other passions are football, die-hard Kansas City Chief's Fan which is what I have been doing for the last two year's dying hard, and I love famous quotes, so I will end this session with this quote:

"There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship."

Saint Thomas Aquinas
